Cost: $0 | Value $400
The Fortinet Training Institute provides certification and training in the growing field of cybersecurity. The program includes a wide range of self-paced, instructor-led, and virtual instructor-led training, as well as practical, experiential exercises that demonstrate mastery of complex network security concepts. Book one of our scheduled classes or sign up for custom learning for your organization.
Get NSE Certified: Eight Levels of Cybersecurity Certification
- Cybersecurity Awareness Certification NSE 1-3
- Cybersecurity Technical Certification NSE 4
Cohorts are approved monthly. Please do not create multiple entries – through registering multiple times, on multiple days, and through multiple organizations or your entry will be rejected. If the Friday timeline is missed your entry will be uploaded the following Friday.
Please carefully review format and syntax requirements for Fortinet’s online enrollments:
- Please select our cohort organization from the dropdown list.
- Enter your first name and last name – separately (NOT in all caps and NOT all lowercase letters please), and your personal email address (in all lowercase letters). It is important that this is the consistent email address that is used throughout your courses, for downloading certificates and eventually with NSE 4 exam vouchers, which you are entitled to as part of this program.
- Please do not use multiple email addresses or different spellings of your name throughout the program.
- Incorrect entries will not be uploaded to Fortinet’s system. These entries generate errors in their Learning Management System (LMS) and will be deleted. Please take the time to enroll with the proper syntax.
For your knowledge NSE 4 level is the first level of internationally recognized certification that qualifies people to apply for at least entry level cybersecurity jobs, including Administration, Sales, Operations and Marketing jobs. Fortinet has a Networking Fundamentals course as a strongly recommended prerequisite to NSE 4. This new course would help your success in NSE 4. However, if you have no IT or networking background, it is suggested that you begin from NSE 1-3, then Networking Fundamentals, then NSE 4.Do not jump in at a higher course level than necessary, and do not register for all courses at once please. This program provides free exam vouchers for NSE 4 only – once you have validated successful completion of NSE 4. To bypass NSE 4 is a wasted opportunity at certification.

Program: GMI Mentorship Opportunity (Become A Mentor)

Requirements: None
Type: Volunteer
BIT is very glad to partner with Global Mentorship Initiative (GMI) to bring volunteer mentoring opportunities to our members. It’s a great way to give back in a structured, short-term, online mentorship that will make a real difference to a student in the US or around the world.
GMI was created from the Rockefeller Foundation’s Digital Jobs Initiative to provide guidance and business skills to underserved college students and refugees in a way that makes it easy for you to be a great mentor without a significant time commitment. They have over 2,000 students and refugees in 50 countries and partner with 30 colleges and youth associations. Their program is growing faster than expected as more colleges ask to enroll their students. For the first time, they have significantly more students than mentors and need 500 new mentors within the next 90 days to support current demand. There’s no cost to be a GMI mentor.
They have so many wonderful stories from students who share how GMI has literally changed their outlook for a career and provided hope for a brighter future. I encourage you to watch the four-minute GMI video here to learn more. In the attached PDF you will find more details and testimonials from students and mentors about their GMI experience.
Mentors meet with their student for 14 one-hour online sessions usually once a week. After this, the mentorship is concluded, and you will have made a huge impact for someone just getting started in life.
